Scholarship Recipients are chosen on the basis of Character, Community Service, and Leadership

Ricky Texada was a great man of character, leadership and faithfully served his community in various ways. As a result, The Ricky Texada Foundation scholarship recipients will be evaluated based on these characteristics. 

Scholarship Eligibility

1. Applicant must be a senior in high school and registered at a 4 year college.

2. Applicant must be nominated or recommended by a coach or teacher.

3. Applicant must possess qualities of leadership as shown through involvement in school, community, Christian activities etc. Offices held, honors received or evidence of leadership will be considered.

4. Applicant must write a 500 to 800 word essay on why you feel you are eligible to receive this award on the basis of character, community service or leadership.

5. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. Must provide a copy of official transcript to verify.
